Our client an Amazon reseller submitted a Request for Inspection on Inspexion.com. The request was to perform a Final Random Inspection (FRI) on 500 wooden vases, from their supplier, based in  Zhonggang Town, Funan, Anhui, China.  They received multiple quotes, chose one and received the report that we are covering in this blog post.

A final random inspection inspects a sample size - this was 10% of the 500 Vases, for quality, quantity and conformity.

Visual Inspection And Workmanship:
The 50 Vases was inspected for cracks, rough patches and discoloration. Out of the 50 only 4 did not meet their required visual inspection criteria, One wooden vase were found with two patches of roughness but was deemed acceptable. No strange discolorations were found. Four wooden vases were found with cracks, but this result still met with the requirement of AQL 2.5/4.0, ANSI/ASQ Z1.4-2008.

Quantity Conformity
The order did not conform to the specified quantity as there was only 480 Vases of the 500 was packed and ready to ship. This part of the inspection provided critical information to the client. Who had time to adjust their inventory on Amazon according to the supply and could pay their supplier for the quantity of goods received .

Product Conformity
The Dimensions were measured both in circumference and in height - The products met all the requirements. Photo were provided in the inspection report confirming conformity to specifications.

Packing / Marking / Labeling
Packaging was inspected and photographed. The outside boxes carried no marking and the inside boxes conformed to the required packaging specifications. A drop test was also conducted - with the packaging passing inspection.

The drop test does provide a level of confidence in the packaging and gives the buyer added security when shipping.

With the inspection providing valuable information both in the report and the photos provided in the report, the client could continue with the shipment and listing on Amazon.

This success story is one of many, everyday pre-shipment inspections carried out by professional inspectors on behalf of clients that chose our inspection marketplace to make the connection.
